Today was a beautiful spring day. The high was almost 80 with low humidity and a nice breeze. I woke up before the alarm (a by-product of the new bed! I actually sleep!) and got dressed for a hot yoga class at 9 AM. The class was good and seemed to fly by - it was over before I realized I had been there for an hour.
After a much needed shower, I met my friends Megan and Donna to hit a bucket of balls at the driving range. Megan is serious and has taken lessons at the Dana Rader school here in Charlotte. I need to practice more and we will play the Par 3 course one evening for more playing time. After golf we went to my favorite Mexican restaurant La Paz for chips and drinks. We sat out on the patio since the weather was sooooo nice today.
The weather will change overnight and we are forecasted to wake up to a thunderstorm and dropping temperature. The high tomorrow will be at 6 AM!!!
April that weather sounds really nice. We have been having a lot of rain and lightening (Yikes I hate lightening and want to hide under the covers). I have been checking out that web site you told me about and they have a bunch of very low stress exercises. I can not believe you go an hour or more of hard core Yoga.
ReplyDeleteI wish you luck with golf. As much as we love to watch it, golf just isn't for me. I went with my #2 son a few times to the driving range and the other patrons on the driving line had to run for cover. No telling where my ball would go. (I am still mad at Carol for not getting us tickets to the MASTERS at least once when she could). My DH and I have been to several turnaments here in Florida and have been to East Lake outside of Atlanta. One day we will get to the Masters.
Hey! I tried but was too low down the totem pole to get free Masters tickets. The boys love golf but I am not very successful at getting them to go do things. April, what do you think - what is the difference between people who are willing to participate in their own lives and the ones who are too tired/overworked/whatever to actually get up and do something? Sounds like you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteI should be posting this right to CAROL but April had the blog. Kiddo you better watch it, didn't your DH and DS just build you a chicken tractor and a Compost bin? He is participating just more on stuff you want right now. Maybe the next time we go to a golf tournament, you guys can come too. We really like the tournament at TPC Sawgrass in Ponta Vedra. Maybe we can go to that one next year if I am feeling better. HEY who knows maybe I will be retired by then.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that we have the Quail Hollow (f/k/a The Wachovia) Championship up here the last week of April/May. Phil agreed to come back this year and I think the Tigger and Adam are both defending champs.
ReplyDeleteAs for the boys, I assume they would rather watch on TV than go do something - I am with Tricia on that one! :-) I took golf lessons the the community college so that helped alot otherwise I wouldn't do it.
April, Maybe Tiger will play there in 2010. We can all descend on you LOL. We love to watch golf but have never ever played a round of gold in our lives. I even hid my camera on my person (like they would have the nerve or the courage to hand search ME)at East Lake(Atlanta) in 1998 and got a good picture of Payne Stewart. I have good pictures of Tiger hand pumping after a win at BayHill in Florida also. Maybe just maybe I will be able to go watch again soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe we can talk the Kartsonis pods to go with us. I will keep trying for those Master Tickets though.
